Larry Mayer is a 5000 hour commercial pilot with most of that time in tailwheel airplanes. Larry contributes all of the pictures of aircraft for Big Sky Flyers. His photography has appeared in more than 20 coffee table books as well as many magazines including EAA Sport Aviation, AOPA Pilot Magazine,  National Geographic Traveler,  The New York Times Magazine, Atlantic Monthly, Life, Stern, Time, Wilderness, and Cosmopolitan.
